Gripping Yor’s hand, Loid maintained a cheery demeanor that betrayed the whirlpool of emotions inside him. In those few seconds before Yor shot out of her seat, something had possessed him to lean in closer to those red lips of hers. He had been so tempted to taste it that he hadn’t noticed his target walking towards the ferris wheel. What in the world was he thinking? Frustration mounted in him. He had never let himself get distracted on a mission before. Why was this one any different? His pace picked up until the two of them were close to sprinting towards the ferris wheel. i dip my toes in frigid water ready for the airless slaughter already frozen, i jump right in gooseflesh erupting on my skin the weights i've tied around my feet pull me down, escape obsolete crushing weight upon my chest deep inhales, at my behest despite my bonds, i begin to thrash my body fights with fierce backlash but tired are my bones and blood as my lungs start to flood the water's now darker than black my limbs go numb, no going back how far i've fallen, i'll never know but now i rest, deep below

imagine trees of tangerines, heavy sagging suns on all the branches. rip one down, introduce it to vivisection (though dead or alive, it never cries out), and squeeze until pulp like entrails forces itself between your dripping fingers. stare blankly at the mess and attempt to clean it, succeed only in staining your clothes golden. work the designs against your skin until the mistakes become tattoos and the rinds before you look less like refuse and more like fresh-hatched eggshells. as the morning scent stings your senses, reach up. don't look, just touch, and rip down another. and another. and another.
