Arc 2: Ascension

2071.

The Earth that we know of is entering a fast spiral towards death. For years, mankind has contaminated and exploited the resources that Earth has to offer. Finally, Mother Nature has turned against the human race. Its fury has been unleashed and every place on Earth has been ravaged by natural catastrophes. Tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic explosions. Disasters that take millions of lives regardless of race or religion.

Humans have been driven in masses towards two separate places on Earth – the only places that were less disaster-prone. Those were called the Prime Territories, originally ruled by two siblings. Realizing that they were being driven to extinction, mankind decided to form the World Government in order to reach a solution to their impending doom.

To prevent overcrowding of Prime Territories, a system was put in place to ensure that only the most talented people would live within the comparable safety of that area. The cruelty and harshness of the enforced system was deemed necessary for the continued survival of mankind. Many have risen against the system and been beaten down into the ground.

Searching for a new planet to call home, the World Government issued a challenge to find and establish contact with sovereign species. Your company chooses Planet Tristan as the basis of the search but until recently, nothing has been found.

That all changed upon the first alien attack on the facility which led to the contamination of four humans – one of which being the brilliant scientist, Lelouch, whom you had set your eyes on. The four humans were termed the hybrids and required a significant other to help control their volatile biological system. As it turned out, you became Lelouch’s controller and together, the two of you managed to uncover a deadly secret. A secret that seemed to have its reaches far up in the hierarchy of power. A secret that people would kill for….

OMG I know how long it's been since Somebody To Die For Arc 1 ended but this summer has been super busy. >< I've completed world-building and each character's background. So it's time for me to finally start writing!! It'll still take me some time to flesh out the chapters, especially since I realized that I've been increasing the length of chapters in Arc 1. (Hopefully that's a good sign that my writing is improving!!
